I am from the Chicago area and after completing my undergrad and my doctor of chiropractic degrees I wanted to move to a warmer climate. I was looking for a long established practice to join with an excellent reputation. It was then that I found Priester Chiropractic in Charlotte, NC. Charlotte is a beautiful city, had the ideal weather for me, and the long history of Priester Chiropractic serving Charlotte attracted me here. Priester Chiropractic has received many awards over the years in Charlotte as the best chiropractor in town. This all made it an ideal choice for me.

Priester Chiropractic was founded in Charlotte in 1949 by Dr. JJ Priester who focused on treating the “whole person.” We now refer to this as wellness care and holistic care. Dr. John Priester joined his father in 1980 and they worked together until 1993 when he retired from practice. Dr. Priester continued in his father’s footsteps by establishing harmonious relationships in Charlotte with other healthcare professionals in a variety of specialties, providing individualized care, and maintaining personal bonds with his patients. Dr. Plese became clinical director in 2016 to continue the practice of chiropractic and the treatment of the “whole person” as upon its founding principle in 1949. We make every effort to treat every patient individually. Everyone is different. There is no canned approach to our treatments. Our treatment is based upon your unique needs and diagnosis. If you do not have a problem we can help we will assist in referring you to be best doctor or specialist who we believe can help you.

Priester Chiropractic in Charlotte helps you reduce, control, or get rid of your pain naturally, without the use of surgery. Through the use of focused treatments, we coordinate our care to focus on creating a harmonious relationship between the spine, extremities, and overall muscular balance. Poor flexibility and muscular dysfunction can affect us physically in many ways. We strive to improve your flexibility and core strength, and educate you on proper posture and movement in your daily activities. We show you how to maintain your gains through treatment, and to eliminate new or chronic muscle complaints through specific, therapeutic massage (manual therapy) performed by licensed massage therapists, and restore normal joint function and mobility through spinal adjustments (spinal manipulative therapy, known as “SMT”).

We treat neck and back pain, headaches, osteoarthritis, shoulder pain, hip and knee pain, tendonitis, automobile accidents, sprains and strains, whiplash, work related postural pain, scoliosis, disc herniation, referred arm and leg pain, plantar fasciitis and TMJ (jaw) pain. Gentle, low-force joint mobilization techniques and instrument-assisted manipulation is utilized by Priester Chiropractic as indicated to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients. We also employ the latest knowledge in functional rehabilitation and physical therapies, including the use of therapeutic exercise, exercise prescription and program design.

Charlotte is a big city with a lot of chiropractors. There aren’t a lot of misconceptions here. If anything I would say we don’t keep patients coming longer than they need to. Patients think going to a chiropractor means you never get released from care. We don’t treat you if you don’t have a problem we know we can help. Gentle safe techniques including instrument adjusting.
